Salty Dog is a beautifully unique hut described by local owner Antonia as the wendy house she never had. It is the perfect hut for those who enjoy a little peace and quiet due to its fabulous location towards the end of the row of beach huts. Fully equipped with everything and more to enjoy a day at the beach. Antonia and her family have loved everyone of their beach hut trips and now look forward to sharing the hut with guests. Situated on the dog friendly side of the beach.

Antonia has decided to donate all profits to charity which just makes this hut a true ray of sunshine.

Salty Dog provides...

A combination of outside chairs including 2 deck chairs and 6 folding chairs. There is a cushioned bench inside.
2 large folding tables for use inside or out.
A large selection of beach toys
2 Windbreaks
6 each of the following mugs, plates, bowls, cutlery, plastic tumblers and wine glasses. A small saucepan, frying pan, griddle pan, cork screw/ bottle opener and a spatula.
Washing up liquid, kitchen towel, bin bags, dust pan & brush, broom and antibacterial spray.
A 2 ring ring gas stove, kettle and cafetiere
Individually wrapped tea, coffee, coffee creamer, sugar, semi skimmed milk sticks and hot chocolate.

Finding Salty Dog

Check in is from 0900 to allow time for morning checks, if you would like to arrive earlier please get in touch and we will see what we can do. Check out is as late as you like, please just note the car park opening times.

From the car park on Beach Road: Approximately a 10 minutes walk.

You can either head through the pinewoods, walk to the end of the car park, past the pond on your left walking parallel to the beach to the last set of steps, adjacent to the toilet block, from here you can access the beach (note: drinking water tap is just at the bottom of these steps). Turn left once you get onto the beach and it is hut 189. Or you can walk along the beach, from the car park take the steps opposite the large bins turn left and head towards holkham, 189 is approx 25 huts from the last beach hut.

From the Town centre- Approximately a 45 minute walk.

There are multiple car parks in Wells and if you fancy walking to the beach you can walk on the footpath starting from the Quay. It is just under a mile. There is also a little steam train that runs from here into the pinewoods holiday park.
